Discover Transylvania and the Antique Ottoman Carpets
Alberto Boralevi and Stefan Ionescu have organized a Study Tour in the
period April 24th to May 2nd 2004.
"The experience done with the first journey in 2002 and further
field research has let us to organize something very special. Transylvania
has been for centuries a borderland of the Ottoman Empire. For this reason
hundreds of antique Turkish rugs from the 15th to the 18th centuries are
still surviving in this area", says Alberto Boralevi to Jozan Magazine.

In Brasov the participants shall visit the Black Church and
also churches as Blumenau and Bartolomeu.

The group will visit sites and smaller villages and towns as Harman, Medias,
Biertan and Sighisoara.

In Sibiu the participants will see the Holbein rugs belonging to the
Brukenthal Museum.

In Bucharest the group will visit the National Museum of the Romanian
Peasant, as well as Brancoveanu Palace in Mogosoaia.
