Oriental rugs are a perfect
choice when you want to decorate your home with valuable and though affordable art.
There is one really serious risk involved - you might start collecting rugs - spending all your time on your new hobby. Be
aware, when you buy your first handmade Oriental rug - that you will cross the point of no return and never ever be satisfied by any machine made
carpet.
Though it is hard to give advice about buying Oriental rugs I will give a few tips:
-Never ever buy an Oriental rug because you think you get a cheap
price. Normally you will get what you pay for. Sales with 70% discount are always a sales trick.
-Buy the rug because you like it - there are no other good reason.
-Oriental rugs are craftsmanship or art. Do not judge the price as the most important factor when you compare the offers you
get. It is possible to find even antique collectable Oriental rugs for a price less than 500
USD.
-Be aware that your taste probably will change when you learn more about the topic and do not buy several Oriental rugs at the same time even if you can afford
it.
-Take the chance and buy your first rug. Perhaps you will regret this buy but I am sure this will not be your last Oriental rug.
