Jaf Kurd Exhibition will be held at James Cohen's new gallery in Viale Bligny 54 (via Salasco), 20136 Milano, Italy on June the 17th -27th.
Opening night will be Wednesday 17th June 2009 at 18.00 - 21.00
and everyday afterwards from 15.00 - 20.00 until the 27th of June
Jafs have been a passion of James Cohen the last 18 years. A group of 25 diamond Jafs and two rugs
will be on display and has been assembled over the last four years and has not, until now, been for sale.
"Seeing the group together is a great experience because only when you can compare so many can you see how unique and individual each piece truly is. While there are no doubt Jafs which have similarities in weave and colour, my goal was to seek out the ones which are different and as a result, no two Jafs in this exhibition are the same, not even the pair! For newcomers, I would explain that the main appeal for the the Jaf bagface is the sheer richness of colour and glossiness of
wool" says James Cohen to Jozan Magazine.
