Materials: wool with camel wefts
Technique: pile, symmetric knot
Condition: missing all but 4.5" of selvedge. Selvedge remnant is wrapped with green wool. Low, but extant, pile.
Comments: masterful use of scale variance to achieve multi-depth in quarter panel designs. Great color. Textbook "repetitive" ashik border designs that does not repeat. Look closely, no two are the same! Subtle, but great example. Eagle elem is outstanding.
