The Rug Database - data feeds
13 February 2008
Jozan has introduced a Rug Database inspired
by Google's Froogle. The database includes Oriental rugs and textiles from various members, retailers and wholesalers.
Members are able to send us data feeds once a month with their
whole collection and inventory.
If you have a database driven shopping site it is relatively simple to
create a data feed. Either by creating a tab delimited text file or an
Excel file using the export function in your database.
It is also possible - but time consuming - to create a feed manually.
Type in the data in an Excel file and save it as a tab limited text file.
The Rug Database uses the following fields:
product_url ( url to the actual dealerpage)
name ( rug name etc - used as headline in the
listing)
description ( short description including further information,
size, condition etc)
price
image_url (thumbnail url)
large_image_url ( url to image - will be resized to 480 pixel width )
category (example: Persian or Turkish etc.)
offer_id (example 1234567 - the dealers unique item identification)
valuta (examples USD, EUR or GBP)
dealerID (examples yurdan, pakpersianrugs, rugman, jozan)
